2025 Ice Cream Social and Pet Parade

The Ice Cream Social and Pet Parade was another great success this year, with perfect weather
and well over 80 neighbors and 17 dogs (and one very cautious cat!), attending.
Trevor Duke and Emily Walainis were again our hosts at their lovely home at the corner
of Wellington and Westbrook. Even their adorable four-month-old baby attended!
Peggi Tabor and Doris Sheikh registered the dogs for our hilarious Westminster-style dog show.
Again, thanks to Tor Shwayder for being the MC for the dog show. Each doggie participant won an award.
One dog even came with a homemade ice cream sundae saddle—you had to look twice to see
if it wasn’t melting, it looked so real!

The delicious ice cream was from our local ice cream shop, The Farmhouse, across from the Hawk on 12 Mile Road.
Everyone seemed to have a great time, with so many families and lots of children attending.
Thanks to everyone who helped set up beforehand and cleaned up after the social.
